Thanks to Audra Simmons who tweeted this great interview that RICHGIRL did on ‘Khloe After Dark’ a while back. During the interview, the ladies talk about their favorite types of guys and you’ll never guess what type Brave goes for! LOL - check it out, its amazing!

OMG First off let me start off by apologizing so deeply for my lack of updates! My Wordpress login was not working so I had to wait to get it sorted out by someone but thank God its all good now! We can now resume with our daily updates and starting off - check out this brilliant new interview the ladies did with FADER TV! They look absolutely divine and I really really loved the questions and hilariousness in this interview. Truly amazing!

Our girls, RichGirl stopped by the Power 105 FM radio station tonight for an interview with DJ Clue and also to promote their show tonight at B.B. Kings with Monica & Teairra Mari. The Girls also spoke on all of the producers, song-writers, etc. that they have been working with on their debut album and they let us know that they are shooting for the album release around the top of the year.
My recorder froze up on me so part 2 of the interview is missing but here are parts 1 & 3 in a zipped file below for you to enjoy!

RICHGIRL recently sat down for an in-depth interview with the widely popular Honey Magazine which I believe to be one of the best interviews thus far - check it out!

Honey: RichGirl is an interesting name, what’s the meaning behind it?
» Brave: Well our name is a metaphor. It has nothing to do with finances or money. It just has everything to do with being rich in spirit and being rich in faith. Being strong and knowing that there’s power in femininity. Because taking control of that power and embracing it will make you rich.

Okay, I can dig it. But you guys wouldn’t mind being rich in pocket either, right?
» Lyndriette: (laughs) That can work too.

So if there are four of you in a group, why keep the name singular?
» Lyndriette: Because it represents more than just our group. Every girl can be a RichGirl. I think it was a good idea to keep it that way even though everyone always messes it up (laughs). We just kept it singular so that any girl could use it.

True Star Is is a magazine which is run by high school students from Chicago, Illinois and during RICHGIRL’s stop in Chicago, they sat down with True Star Is for an exclusive interview. Below you can read the interview transcript, check out photos from the set as well as a 3 minute video. Enjoy!

Most people don’t recognize the name RichGirl but at the rate they’re going, you will. They are currently opening up for Beyonce for her tour, their song ” He Ain’t Wit Now (Though)” is getting heavy play, and Audra is the lead girl in Mario’s new video “Break-Up”. RichGirl is quickly looking like one of the very few girl groups who actually have some staying power. All four of them are very unique but they mesh together very well, with no sense of anyone being a “Nicole Scherzinger (The Pussycat Dolls)”.

Unlike unofficial competition Electrik Red, they don’t really have a lead singer and their vocals come together beautifully. They all have a different type of style but seem more like friends than just girls who just work together. Their songs are more R&B and Pop, so even if you don’t like what they’re talking about, you’ll definitely have something to dance to.

RichGirl will definitely be around for a while. Check out some of the footage of when we got a chance to interview them during their Chicago tour stop:

BE Entertained Magazine recently interviewed RICHGIRL where they sat down with the ladies for an in-depth interview and you can check it out and some audio clips as well!
I wanna send a special thank you to Audra, Lyn, Brave & Se7en for being the incredible women they are - for shouting RICHGIRLWAY out in this interview! Click below to listen / read the great article!

BE Magazine: Go ahead & introduce yourselves individually.

» RichGirl: Well I’m Lyndriette, & I’m from Gastonia, North Carolina. Wassup everybody, I’m Brave from Baltimore, Maryland. How y’all doing? I’m Seven from Haines City, Florida. How y’all doing, I’m Audra from San Diego, California. And we’re RichGirl (as they say in perfect harmony)

BE Mag: Wow! That’s a wide array of places; how did the group come to BE?

» RG: We actually knew each other. Well the industry is actually smaller than most think it is. We all started as solo artists individually & somehow our music brought us all to LA. So I [Audra] knew Seven because we had the same home studio, so she’d be at the front of the room & I’d be at the back of the room in the same studio. I wanted to be friends with Brave and her hair, every since I saw her at a party; & then Lyndriette & Seven knew each other when they were solo artists. Then a man name Rich Harrison came and put all of the pieces of the puzzle together. So we’re not as manufactured as people think [Lyndriette chimes in], we were put together, but by GOD. By GOD through Rich Harrison [says Seven].

BE Mag: So when you bring up Myspace, I have to bring up the BIGGEST social networking site Twitter.

» RG: [All the ladies got real excited] It’s official, we’re all on Twitter now. I just joined last night [Seven gladly boasts]. Somebody had actually taken my name on there @LyndrietteRG, but I’m @RealLyndriette. I’m @BraveRichGirl. I’m @se7enRG (I can say that now…). I’m actually my first and last name @AudraSimmons.

BE Mag: Well we’re definitely on Twitter! @BEMagazine &http://www.twitter.com/bemag_planb

» RG: Cool we’ll look for y’all…[as they giggle to themselves & with us]

BE Mag: Yeah…we’ll just Tweet y’all later so y’all can lock us in.

» RG: Yeah, that’ll probably BE better.

* ( Shout out to RICHGIRLWAY.net)

Richgirl is an R&B girl group that blends the sexy sophistication of En Vogue with the youthful spirit of the Spice Girls. And for the past few years, under the watchful eye of record producer Rich Harrison, Audra, Brave, Lyndriette and Seven have patiently waited to take the musical world by storm.

Fresh off the road, as the opening act for Beyonce’s I AM… World Tour, Richgirl has performed in front of hundreds of thousands and generated considerable buzz with “He Ain’t Wit’ Me Now (Tho),” the lead single off of their self-titled debut. In the weeks and months to come, expect young women across America claiming and professing themselves to be “Richgirls” too – young, focused and independent!

Upon the release of Richgirl, Audra, Brave, Lyndriette and Seven managed to squeeze some time out of their busy schedules and settle down for an interview with Clayton Perry — reflecting on Beyonce Knowles, “Millionaire,” and their individual backgrounds.

» On June 26, 2009, I had the pleasure of seeing you open for Beyonce in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. How did you manage to arrange such a wonderful opportunity?

Brave: From what we were told, she really liked the video and liked our song so her team reached out to us and asked if we would join the tour.

» I know you’ve only had a few dates so far, but what have you learned about yourselves on the road?

Seven: I would have to say that I learned that I have little discipline when it comes to junk food on the road. I eat crazy and I need to cut it out! [laughing]

Brave: Every night, I’m looking forward to having a party on the stage. The stage for me is like the biggest party that we get to go to every night. I enjoy getting ready and getting pretty. [laughing] When I look at it this way, it helps me relax and remember to just have fun. It’s hard work, but once we get on the stage and start dancing, it’s just a lot of fun.

Audra: It’s just a really good feeling to be in a position where we are now. For me, it seems like I blinked my eyes and the next thing I knew we were opening up for Beyonce. Being on the road, I can seriously watch Beyonce’s show every single day and take notes and just learn from her. Right when I think I’m doing good, I look up to her and say, “Wow! I have so much to learn.” I think I pick something up every single night watching her.

Lyndriette: I learned that I never get tired of doing what I love to do. I realized that even though we’re doing the same thing every night, night after night, I know that I’m never going to get tired of this. This is something I want to be doing for years to come. I know I loved this before, but now I really, really realized that I love what I do.

RichGIRL performed at a showcase for 107.5 WGCI FM in Chicago, Illinois where they put on a great show! The girls performed 24, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, He Ain’t Wit Me Now (Tho) and they did an incredible job with all performances - the audience really loved them as well.
The ladies were also interviewed after the showcase where they were asked about their views on Chris Brown and of course the Smile & Wave single as well as speaking on a single that they really hope makes the album called ‘Millionaire’ which was produced by Rich Harrison.

The Chicago Defender wrote up a new article / interview with RichGIRL about working with Rich Harrison and about their group chemistry and much more. Check it out below.

Richcraft/Jive Records newly-signed quartet, Richgirl, is determined to make their musical mark on the ever-changing R&B/Pop scene. With a lineup of four diverse singers–Audra, Lyndriette, Seven and Brave–who hail from various areas of the country, this creation by hitmaker Rich Harrison (Amerie, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige) has stepped to the forefront to fill the music industry’s girl-group void. Together for three years, Richgirl is currently working on their debut album, and their new video He Ain’t Wit Me Now (Tho) is in constant rotation on various music stations.

Richgirl talked to the Defender about working with Harrison, how they keep the chemistry flowing and what they do to live against that girl-group stigma.

CD: Rich Harrison has a pretty established career. Did any of you feel intimated by his success or nervous about working with him?

» Lyndriette: Actually, I was a little intimidated. I wanted to work with Rich for a very long time, so when I finally got in the studio, I was kind of nervous, but I quickly got over it. He really knows how to make you feel comfortable in the studio. Everything that I thought it would be, it actually wasn’t; it was a whole lot better.

» Brave: Rich really took his time to get to know us individually and that made it easier because he was able to relate. I have to say that I wasn’t intimidated only because he really took time to learn us vocally and produce records so that each of us can showcase our talent.

» Audra: I was intimidated, but I knew at the same time that I needed Rich. He could be the person to bring my career to the next level. When the situation with Rich came up, I was nervous because I knew I couldn’t mess this up.

CD: How is the chemistry between all of you?

» Brave: We’re like four sisters. It’s so much fun being in a group with these women. From day one, I felt like the chemistry was always on point.

» Audra: I think we’re still constantly learning about each other because we’re still learning about ourselves. We’re just starting our business. We’re growing together, which makes us even closer.
