Billboard.com has written a new article on the ladies of Richgirl “Breaking & Entering”. The article focuses on the ladies debut album which is set to hit stores this summer! You guys def. need to read this article - full of stats all RG fans need to know.
Two years ago, Audra, Brave, Lyndriette and Seven were just four up-and-coming singer/songwriters trying to break into the music scene. Today, thanks to producer Rich Harrison (Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love,” Amerie’s “One Thing”) who discovered and signed them to his Richcraft Records in 2007, they are well on their way.
Now, the ladies, known as the R&B quartet Richgirl, are prepping the late summer release of their self-titled debut, which Seven describes as “motivational, empowering, fun and honest.” First single, “24s,” featuring Bun B, entered at No. 83 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs this week.
Other songs like the confidence-booster “Pimp Cup,” the ballad “Back To The Club” and “Millionaire,” a mid-tempo with heavy snares, will also appear on the album.
“Millionaire is one of our favorites because it has nothing to do with financial stuff,” says Audra. “We’re talking about how we can still be broke but be surrounded by love… and that’s exactly what being a Richgirl is all about.”
Big ups to ConcreteLoop.com for featuring our girls in their “Hot or Not” category. Up for discussion is the new RICHGIRL track featuring rappers Gucci Mane & Yo Gotti called “Trouble”. This is def. one of my favorite tracks - and if you love it then head over to Concrete Loop now to vote!

The official RICHGIRL website has been updated with a brand new look which I think looks really fantastic! You can click the graphic below to visit MyRICHGIRL.com now and check out all the new features!
One group of fans is opening the show. If you haven’t heard of the all-female R&B group Richgirl — comprised of Brave, Lyndriette, Seven and Audra — you probably will soon. Richgirl’s single “He Ain’t Wit Me Now” is a lush, danceable ditty that easily could become a club favorite before summer is out.
Audra calls touring with Beyoncé amazing. “She is really sweet. She just opened her arms to us and it has been unbelievable.” Richgirl is the brainchild of super producer Rich Harrison, who is known for hits such as Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love” and Destiny’s Child’s “Soldier.” So it’s no wonder that Richgirl may remind some of Destiny’s Child.
“We are humbled by such comparisons,” Audra says. “They paved the way for us, and we expect the comparisons because we took bits and pieces from Destiny’s Child and other performers like Jodeci, Dru Hill and En Vogue.”
The group even tips its hat to British female super-group the Spice Girls because each member was an individual and had her own thing. Like the Spice Girls, each Richgirl member has a chance to shine, says Audra. All the ladies get a chance at the microphone, which, she says, will set them apart from other acts.
“I think a lot of music these days, not that there’s something wrong with it, but there is not a lot of singing going on,” Audra says. “Just a lot of technology and we want to really bring singing back.”
The group’s core sound is R&B, but Audra says they enjoy the freedom of including pop, rock and alternative elements to their sound.
AceShowBiz wrote up a new article on RichGirl and Chris Brown on their new collaboration “Smile & Wave” read below for more on the track & story.
Chris Brown has teamed up with new girl group RichGirl, and their collaborative song has just made its way out. Titled “Smile & Wave”, the never-heard-before track reportedly will be included in RichGirl’s upcoming debut album “RichGirl”.
As for RichGirl, the girl group managed by Chris’ manager Tina Davis are prepping for their eponymous effort. Commenting on what kind of songs they are crafting for the new album, one of the band’s personnel Brave recently said, “Our sound is very honest. Each song tells a specific story.” Another member Audra then added, “One thing that we want to do is bring the singing back to the songs. That’s something that’s lacking right now.”

» Why They’re About to Pop: Richgirl is the newest R&B girl group to hit the scene. Beyond being conceptualized by Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer Rich Harrison, these four women — Audra, Brave, Lyndriette and Seven — apply a different definition of “rich” to their group name. The “rich” in Richgirl refers to “an attitude and confidence,” not a monetary status. Audra hails from San Diego, Brave is a Baltimore native, Lyndriette brings her southern, North Carolina roots to the mix and Seven represents Florida, and while they come from all different parts of the country, the girls come together in complete harmony. With their self-titled debut album still yet to hit stores, Richgirl have already opened for Mario on the “BK FamFest” tour and are currently opening for Beyonce on the U.S. portion of her 2009 “I Am…” tour. With rotation on MTV Hits, MTV Jams and VH1 Soul, their single, ‘He Ain’t Wit Me Now (Tho),’ has paved the way for Richgirl’s forthcoming album and demonstrates the group’s “down to earth girl power,” which they hope to instill in their ever-growing fanbase.
- Seven Questions With Richgirl:
• You all come from very different backgrounds. Was it difficult to work together when you first formed, or was there a natural connection?
It was not at all difficult working together. Although we come from different backgrounds, our goals, our drive and desires are the same. Each of us has a strong relationship with God and we move as a “unit” in Him. That’s one of the reasons why our name is Richgirl, because we are beyond rich in our faith. The chemistry was there the moment we met, not to mention we all knew each other prior to the group, so our relationship was already organic.
Popular urban magazine S2S wrote up a really nice review of RichGIRL and their opening act for Beyonce’. Check out the lovely review below:
Audra, Brave, Lyndriette, and Seven, better known as Richgirl, walked on the stage like sex kittens dressed in all black.
The four-part girl group is so new to the music game that the audience was taken aback when they first came on. This all changed once they opened their mouths and belted out harmonies that would make En Vogue want to run home and practice—which made the crowd warm up to the newcomers.
There couldn’t have been a better opening act.
Once Richgirl’s set was done, the lights went black and a roar erupted from the audience as the lady of honor screamed out “baaabbbyy” and began to sing one of her hit singles, “Déjà Vu.”
R.I.P to the greatest there ever was & greatest there will ever be, Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson, the King of Pop has passed away in Los Angeles. If you are a fan of MJ please leave your comments of wishes & thoughts.
LiveSteeds.com wrote up a new article on RichGIRL which speaks on the ladies’ achievements so far and how they compare to iconic girl-group, Destiny’s Child. Read the full article below - what do you think?
Girl groups are trying to make a serious comeback. At the forefront of the movement is Richgirl, which some consider to be Destiny’s Child the sequel. Those are some steps to follow. Richgirl stated that the iconic girl group has had a major influence on their aspirations and they are embarking on a dream come true. The four beauties have just been confirmed as the opening act for Beyonce’s I Am…Sasha Fierce tour.
Check out the facts about Richgirl.
“Certified hit-maker Rich Harrison is the force behind Richgirl and each young woman possesses a unique quality that make the group as a whole stand out. Audra hails from San Diego, has a sassy, sexy persona and her vocals provide the group with a soothing element. Brave, a Baltimore native, brings edge to the group with her insightful words, a talent she honed as a powerful spoken-word artist. She sings and writes which brings the group depth and beauty. Lyndriette, raised in North Carolina, is the southern belle of the group with her powerhouse vocals. Seven rounds out the group; raised in Haines City, FL, she has a dynamic voice she developed growing up singing in the church. Richgirl’s image and lyrics combine “down to earth girl power” with flirtatious bravado and the girls aspire to bring fresh perspectives on life, love and sexuality to women everywhere.”
The girls kicked off their first performance was this past Sunday (June 21) in New York’s Madison Square Garden.
I recently spoke with Audra from RichGIRL and she let it be known that the rumors of an album title “Money In The Bank” are completely false. Here’s what she had to say :
As of now we actually believe the album will be self titled… we still haven’t finished recording and the only thing we’ve discussed is it being Richgirl…. could change but it’s too early to tell….
- Audra
I hope that lets everyone know what the real deal is.
According to RichGIRL’s Wikipedia Page, their debut album name will be called “Money In The Bank”.
Hopefully the ladies will fill us in on how they came to choose this name for the album - but for now this is what the title is. What do you guys think?
RichGIRL’s lead single ‘He Ain’t With Me Now (Tho)’ has made the 2009 Summer Playlist at the popular magazine, Cosmopolitan.
