Rich Harrison, the producer behind Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love” and Amerie’s “1 Thing” has struck gold with his latest project, RichGirl. The R&B group consists of four empowered females who not only look like money, but have the golden pipes to back it up. Rap-Up.com visited with the newcomers last week in the lap of luxury, Beverly Hills, where they introduced themselves and won us over with their opulent voices.

RichGirl includes the spoken-word poet Brave, the Southern belle Lyndriette, church-raised Seven, and the sassy Audra. They formed with the help of Harrison and now live together in Atlanta…..

During a interview with rap-up.com, RichGIRL sang one of their favorite songs “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” live acapella. The girls sound amazing – their harmonies are SICK! I hella love this clip – haha, check it out!

RichGIRL has joined the roster for the 2009 BK FamFest National Tour, which will hit 5 cities starting May 30th – June 27th. Read on for more info:

All girl groups past and present beware… RichGirl just lit the match on a hot summer with their video “He Ain’t With Me Now” !

Linked with the same hit making music icon that aided Amerie, 3LW, Mary J. Bilge, Toni Braxton, and Beyonce (“Freakum Dress”) with blazing records –Rich Harrison– RichGirl is set to debut their first album this summer and from the looks of this video they’re just getting started. (watch below)

While little is known (at this time) about their project it is safe to say their timing is excellent considering there are very few female groups around. Other than Def Jam group Electrik Red and a few other groups that are bubbling under, RichGirl is a welcome gift to urban pop music fans.

According to their Myspace, RichGirl consists of four ladies that go by the names Audra, Brave, Lyndriette and Seven.
